Many PC consumers especially here in the Philippines have in mind this virtue: "Price before quality".
This has blinded many from buying Branded PC's which offer excellent quality and speed instead, they buy parts and build everything from scratch.
There are many different things that can be compared among the two.
One of which is, Warranty.
Warranty for Branded PC's has also the same duration as the generics but the Technical Support that the Branded PC can offer support beyond the PC's warranty.
Another thing between the two is, Cooling.
Generic PC's can be installed with Water cooling and other cooling enhancements but oftentimes lead to disaster.
Also, the Power Supply Unit *PSU* can't hold the high ampere consumption of the cooling system forcing the PSU to divert more power to cooling system instead of delivering more power to the hard drives, optical drives, etc.
Branded PC's which are sometimes pre-made with Water Cooling and a the PSU is dedicated to deliver power to both the Cooling system and the CPU itself.
Third difference among Branded and Generics is the CASE.
Generic CPU Cases here are made of aluminum and is very thin.
It doesn't provide proper air flow to the internal parts in turn overheating the system especially here in the Philippines which is oftentimes immensely hot .
Branded CPU Cases are made of thick metal alloys and it is designed for proper air flow.
Making the system a bit cooler than that of a Generic CPU Case.
Another noticeable problem are the screws.
Generics often have too many screws on them. Once you lose one, you're going to have a difficult time locking your CPU. And a hassle in replacing the screw itself.
Whereas Branded PC's are mostly designed to be screw-less. Instead of screws, they design locking mechanisms on drive-bays, card-slots,even the PC Case covers itself.
